#ReclaimConstitution Quiz
2nd Edition - preliminary round
The second edition of #ReclaimConstitution quiz is designed to spark curiosity and deepen understanding of constitutional values among young minds. The quiz is open to students of classes 8 to 12 of public & private schools/pre-university colleges across all States & Union Territories of India. Home-schooled students are also encouraged to participate. More than a test, the quiz is a celebration of India’s democratic spirit.
- The online preliminary round will be held on Constitution Day (26 Nov 2026)
- The Grand Finale will take place on Republic Day (26 Jan 2027)
All new registrants will receive four books (shown below) for free to help prepare for the quiz.

Rules:
- This is a team event. 3 members per team mandatory. Only current students of classes 8th to 12th/2nd year pre-university are eligible.
- Postage charges for books for first time participants is ₹100 per student
- Registration is free for all participants of the first edition of #ReclaimConstitution Quiz
- Students are encouraged to form teams across different classes.
- Any number of teams can register from a school/college.
- Teams are encouraged to have more than one gender.
- All members of a team should be from the same school/college.
- Top teams of each of the 6 zones (North, South, East, West, Central, North East + Andaman & Nicobar + Lakshadweep) will be selected from the Preliminary round to the grand finale in Bengaluru.
- Travel & accommodation for the Grand Finale will be provided, for every team member & one parent.
- Registrations will close after reaching 600 teams or on 26 Oct 2026, whichever is earlier.
The #ReclaimConstitution quiz hopes to inspire a generation that not only learns about the Constitution, but also feels responsible for safeguarding its founding values.

Quiz Master
Berty Ashley was born and brought up in the ancient Tamil city of Madurai. An alumnus of Vikaasa school and The American College, he followed his dreams of becoming a scientist. He is now a Molecular Geneticist at the Dystrophy Annihilation Research Trust (a.k.a DART). DART is the only parent-run scientific organization in the world which has the ability to make artificial DNA. At DART, Berty and other scientists work on cutting-edge technology to design, synthesize and validate personalized genetic therapy for children suffering from rare genetic disorders such as Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
Berty has been taking part and conducting quizzes since his school days. The love for trivia and funda made him develop his own characteristic quizzing style in which he infuses his trademark humour and pop-culture references. A childhood dream came true when Siddhartha Basu, known as the Godfather of Quizzing in India invited him to be the senior content editor for the south Indian version of Kaun Banega Crorepati where he was responsible for making the questions and ensuring their facts are correct. He is the author of the popular 'Easy Like Sunday Morning' quiz in the Hindu Sunday Magazine which is renowned for the 'work-out-ability' factor. It is currently on a run of unbroken weekly quizzes for eight years.

The quiz is open to current students of Classes 8 to 12 / 2nd-year pre-university courses from schools and colleges across all States and Union Territories of India. Home-schooled students are also welcome.
It is a team quiz. Each team must have three students. All three members must be from the same school or college.
Yes. Students are encouraged to form teams across different classes, as long as all team members are from the same school or college.
Yes. There is no limit on the number of teams that can register from a school or college.
Registration is free for students who participated in the first edition. For first-time participants, the registration includes a postage charge of ₹100 per student for the four preparation books, making it ₹300 per team.
First-time participants will receive four books to help them prepare for the Quiz. Participants can also explore the Constituent Assembly Debates and other resources provided on the registration page.
The resources are a general guide to preparation. Students are expected to explore other resources beyond the books.
The preliminary round will be conducted online on 26 November 2026, Constitution Day.
Top-performing teams from six zones will qualify from the online preliminary round for the National Grand Finale in Bengaluru.
The zones are North, South, East, West, Central and North East, with Andaman & Nicobar and Lakshadweep included.
The Grand Finale will be held in Bengaluru on 26 January 2027, Republic Day. Travel and accommodation will be provided for every finalist team member and one parent.
Registrations close at 11:45 PM on 26 October 2026, or earlier if the maximum of 600 teams is reached.
