IIACD was founded in 2008 with two interdisciplinary centres under the leadership of Prof. Vijay Chandru, Prof. Uma Chandru & Prof. Nalini Rao.
Centre for Cultural Heritage and Tourism Studies (CHATS)
Centre for Health Educate and Technology (CHET)
Both centres aimed to democratize access to information and enable people to become active participants and informed decision makers.
The #ReclaimConstitution initiative joined IIACD in 2023
